Untitled Again
Terrified in the dark, by the wayside
The shadows, stroking him
His limp fingers, loosely curling
Sluggish if he ever moved, so unsure
So lacking his hope
Little his knowledge
How I want to hug it all away
What I’d give to make him look the other way
To the other side of this vastness
Alas who is to say?
If he’ll see what so nakedly lies
Before my very eyes.
